2023: A Year of Remarkable Achievements

As we bid farewell to the year 2023, it's time to reflect on the incredible journey that Happythreads has undertaken over the past twelve months. From exciting photoshoots to charitable endeavours and business expansions, it has been a year marked by accomplishments and positive transformation.

Global Impact in Kenya

One of the year's highlights was the introduction of Happythreads' Scrubs to Kenya. Sally and her team wore our Koi Lite collection while collaborating with local Kenyan dentists to provide dental care to underprivileged communities in Nyahururu and Nakuru. Despite the challenging conditions, they managed to treat an impressive 457 patients in just two weeks. Sally, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for choosing Happythreads and making a significant contribution to global dental health

Our Warehouse Team

Our dedicated warehouse team played a pivotal role in 2023, processing an astonishing 100,000 orders. Their unwavering commitment and hard work were critual in our company's success. We congratulate our warehouse team for their exceptional performance.

Our Customer Service Team

At Happythreads, prioritising customer service is at the core of our values, and 2023 was a testament to this commitment. Our exceptional customer service team handled 6000 more emails than in 2022, with an average response time of just 24 seconds – faster than a bot! GO TEAM!

Trade Show Success 

In 2023, we were fortunate to participate in three trade shows in the UK and one in France, providing us with fantastic opportunities to connect with our valued customers and share our passion for our products.

BDIA Dental Showcase: Our presence at the BDIA Dental Showcase in March was a resounding success, allowing us to engage with dental professionals and showcase our high-quality healthcare apparel.

BDCDS Dentistry Show in Birmingham: The British Dental Conference & Dentistry Show in Birmingham, held in May, is the UK's largest dental show. Our participation allowed us to connect with dental professionals and showcase our exceptional scrubs.

Dentistry Shows in London: In September, we expanded our presence within the dental community by participating in the Dentistry Shows in London, reinforcing Happythreads as a trusted name in the industry.

We are overjoyed to report that we achieved remarkable success at each of these trade shows, with each event making over 100 sales. We want to express our deepest gratitude to our dedicated team members, some of whom flew in from Dublin to make these events a success.

Association dentaire française (ADF) Event: In November, our French team, Happyblouse, attended the prestigious Association dentaire française (ADF) event in Paris. This event brought together dental professionals and experts from around the world to explore the latest trends, innovations, and technologies in dentistry. 

This event was a triumph, with our dedicated seven staff members securing over 250 orders placed right on site. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible French Team for their outstanding work. Bravo!

Capturing the Essence of Happiness: April Photoshoot

In April, we conducted a photoshoot that expertly captured the essence of Happythreads. Set at our co-founder Abby's dental clinic, Happyteeth, the photoshoot not only showcased our vibrant and colorful scrubs but also conveyed the heart of our brand – the joy and comfort they bring to healthcare professionals. This shoot was a testament to Abby's vision and dedication.

Investing in Our Capacity

In 2023, we made substantial investments to expand our capacity to meet increasing demand, including the addition of a second 6-head embroidery machine. This investment allowed us to produce more embroidered items simultaneously, significantly boosting our production. We are actively exploring opportunities to expand our team further to maximize the capabilities of this machine and fulfill our customers' orders. Our heartfelt thanks go out to our embroidery team and our loyal customers!

Extending Our Cherokee Clothing Range

Our commitment to offering the best in healthcare apparel continued as we extended our Cherokee clothing range. These high-quality scrubs have become a favourite among healthcare professionals for their durability and style.

Introducing Cherokee Revolution 

We introduced our Cherokee Revolution collection, the perfect harmony of comfort and durability. Cherokee has redefined the concept of essential uniforms by seamlessly blending functionality, style, and flexibility at a price that suits your budget. 

Introducing Cherokee Core Stretch Collection

We introduced the Cherokee Core Stretch collection for those who prefer more flexibility. This has a modern fit and is made from a blend of cotton, polyester, and spandex twill, which provides exceptional flexibility and comfort allowing you to move with ease throughout your day.

Supporting Charities

Donating Scrubs: Ongoing Support to Dentaid 

We continued our ongoing support to Dentaid by providing dental staff with quality scrubs. In 2023, we donated 25 sets of scrubs to aid their valuable work in dental care. 

Supporting Toilet Twinning & Aide Odontologique Internationale

In March, we donated £5,000 to Toilet Twinning, a charity dedicated to improving sanitation in underserved communities worldwide. Our contribution helped provide essential facilities to those in need.

Our French team, Happyblouse, continues to donate €1 to Aide Odontologique Internationale for every order placed on their website.

Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness: Marie Keating Foundation

In October, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we proudly supported the Marie Keating Foundation to aid in their vital work in breast cancer research and support. We launched a unique campaign that resonated with our wonderful customers: for every order placed on our website, we pledged to donate €1 to the Marie Keating Charity. The response was truly inspiring, and thanks to the support of our customers, we reached a remarkable €10,000 in just one month!

Supporting Employee Well-Being

Expanding Our Wellness Programme

Happythreads' commitment to employee well-being was further demonstrated by the expansion of our wellness program. We believe that a healthy and happy team is essential for our continued success.

Prioritising Well-Being: Duvet Day

Recognising the importance of self-care, we introduced a duvet day. This allows our employees to take a day off, no questions asked to help prioritise their well-being. A well-rested team is a happy team!
