Emergency medical care
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) – Doctors Without Borders
At Happythreads, supporting those who care for others is at the heart of what we do. We are proud to provide financial support of £45,000 to Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) for their Emergency Fund, helping the organisation deliver medical care in areas affected by crises, including Gaza, Sudan, Afghanistan and beyond.
This contribution is purely financial and does not include the donation of PPE or medical equipment.
How this support helps in practice
MSF teams respond rapidly to emergencies, from armed conflict and epidemics to natural disasters. Our support helps them provide urgent medical care, strengthen local health systems and reach some of the most vulnerable populations around the world.
Joy in hospitals
Theodora Children’s Charity: Bringing Joy To Hospitalised Children
We are proud supporters of Theodora Children's Charity. Founded in 1994, the charity transforms children’s hospital experiences into moments of fun and laughter through professional performers called Giggle Doctors.
These 33 Giggle Doctors visit around 23,000 children every year, bringing music, play and storytelling to young patients and their families when they need it most.
Youth mental health
Jigsaw: Supporting Youth Mental Health
We are proud to partner with Jigsaw, an Irish mental health charity dedicated to supporting young people nationwide. Through our initiative, for every order placed on Happythreads.ie in June, €1 was donated to Jigsaw, resulting in an incredible €5,000 raised.
This support is crucial, especially during challenging times, as it helps Jigsaw meet the increasing demand for youth mental health services.

Employee-driven giving
Supporting Alzheimer’s Research
In May, our marketing assistant Cara, based in Edinburgh, undertook a significant challenge by running a half marathon to raise funds for Alzheimer's research. Recognising Cara's dedication and the importance of the cause, Happythreads proudly matched her fundraising efforts with a £500 donation.
This initiative not only supported a cause dear to Cara's heart, it also exemplifies our commitment to amplifying individual efforts that create meaningful change.
Local community
Children's Health Foundation Bake Sale
At Happythreads, we are passionate about giving back to our community. Our team ran a Bake Sale outside our Ballymount office for the Children's Health Foundation. Despite the unpredictable Irish weather, we invited neighbouring businesses and set up a stand filled with delicious homemade treats.
Thanks to our star baker, Cathy, whose culinary skills extended from cakes to sausage rolls, we raised vital funds to support children in need. This initiative exemplifies our commitment to making a meaningful impact through collective efforts, spreading joy and support where it's needed most.
