Dentistry Show 2013

It was a busy time at Happythreads last week as we made our final preparations for the Dentistry Show 2013, our first major conference of the year.    Getting ready for a trade show is one of those things that creeps up on you.....when we reserved our spot several months ago, sure we thought we had plenty of time to get ready but the date came around all too quickly.  Still, I think we all crave a little pressure in our lives from time to time!

The Dentistry Show 2013 took place at the NEC in Birmingham and is the largest free meeting spot in the UK for dental professionals, including dentists, hygienists, dental nurses, technicians, dental therapists and practice managers.

The show provides an ideal platform to keep abreast of special deals, new products and the latest innovations from both suppliers and service providers.    For those looking to further their education and keep informed of new procedures the conference programme this year, provided an extensive choice of CPD accredited seminar topics, covering anything from the latest aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry treatments, to tips on how to drive more business through your practice and improve profitability.

For Happythreads, as an online retailer of dental uniforms, it was the perfect forum to meet many of our UK customer base and to showcase our latest styles and colours from our new Spring ’13 collection.   Happy Threads also used the show to debut the new “Orange Standard” uniform range which was well received..

This type of show as a uniform supplier, also gives us the chance to reach out and engage with new prospects who are seeing our dental uniforms for the first time.  But equally it is the chance to interact with our repeat customers who have traded in their polyester scrubs in exchange for beautifully tailored koi dental tunics and trousers.   It was fantastic to hear their positive feedback with comments that included “really comfortable styles and colours” , “nice and soft”, “great fit”, and “awesome designs”.

Both current customers and indeed prospects also have the added advantage at this type of show to try on our garments and what’s more, to avail of our special show prices.    We believe the Dentistry Show 2013 was a huge success and are eagerly awaiting next year to do it all over again – next time though we will be suitably prepared!
