Movember 2025: Let’s Talk Men’s Mental Health

Movember isn’t just about moustaches - it’s about breaking the silence around men’s mental health. Discover why talking, listening, and checking in can save lives, and how you can support the movement this November.

Movember-Men's Mental Health Month

Why Movember matters

Every November, moustaches grow - and so does awareness. Movember began as a fun idea among friends in Australia, but today it’s a global movement shining a light on men’s health issues, from prostate and testicular cancer to something often less visible: mental health.

Too many men still suffer in silence. Whether it’s stress, burnout, or depression, the pressure to “be strong” can make it hard to ask for help. Movember is here to remind us that speaking up is a sign of strength - not weakness.

The reality of men’s mental health

  • 1 in 8 men experience depression at some point in their lives.

  • Suicide remains one of the leading causes of death among men under 45.

  • Most never reach out for support until it’s too late.

These numbers aren’t just statistics - they’re friends, colleagues, partners, and family members. Talking openly can be the first step toward change.

Small gestures, big impact

You don’t need to be a therapist to make a difference.
Sometimes, it starts with a simple question: “How are you really doing?”

💬 Listen without judging – Sometimes, the best thing you can do is let someone speak.
Check in regularly – A message, a coffee, or a shared joke can mean the world.
💪 Encourage self-care – Whether it’s exercise, time off, or a chat with a professional, remind the men around you that looking after their health is normal.

How to get involved

This Movember, grow a moustache, start a conversation, or donate to support the cause.
Every small action counts - whether you’re raising awareness at work, sharing a post on social media, or simply checking in on a friend.

If you’re part of the healthcare community, wear your moustache and scrubs proudly to keep the message going. Because showing up for others starts with taking care of yourself, too.

Where to find help

If you or someone you know is struggling, please don’t wait to reach out.

Join the movement

This November, let’s make our scrubs, smiles, and moustaches a symbol of solidarity.
Together, we can change the face of men’s health - one conversation at a time.
