Created in Texas in 1922, Dickies established itself from the outset as a brand for workers. Such as farmers, labourers, cooks, and nurses. For all professions, the company produces sturdy overalls, sets, and workwear. During World War II, it was requisitioned to manufacture uniforms for the American troops. Post-war, the brand expanded to Europe and continued developing comfortable and durable products for all workers.
This extensive experience enabled Dickies to refine its products and deepen its understanding of various professions. Keeping the needs of workers in mind, the company adapted to diverse sectors and specialised its products by offering innovative technologies. Today, it offers distinct ranges for fields as diverse as medical, construction, landscaping, agriculture, mechanics, and more.
Dickies Style
In the 1980s, prominent American rappers started wearing Dickies products, placing the brand in popular culture and moving it beyond workwear alone. Particularly, the Latin American communities embraced this style, associating Dickies products with more traditional urban clothing. Now linked to a younger audience, the brand was adopted by the skateboarding community in the 1990s and worn by numerous celebrities.
Continuously present in popular culture, the brand is now appreciated by a wide audience for its simple and comfortable cuts, streetwear style, and excellent quality. The EDS Signature collection is the flagship line of Dickies medical attire. With straight and classic cuts, it ensures optimal comfort throughout the day. The trousers have multiple pockets, which are also found on the front of the lab coats. If the adjustable cord of the unisex pants doesn't seem comfortable enough for you, you'll be pleased with the elastic of the second option. The cotton-polyester blend of this range guarantees a nice touch and is very easy to maintain: machine washable up to 60°, Dickies products do not need ironing to look perfect!
One thing to note is sizing! Since Dickies is an American brand, its sizing does not always align perfectly with UK references. We recommend choosing your items one or two sizes smaller than your usual size.
